My name is Kimberly Broffitt. I am a motivated, Licensed Associate Independent Clinical Social Worker (LSWAIC) and the founder/owner of The Healing Place, PLLC. I have over 10 years of mental health experience.
I obtained a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin, then a Master of Social Work Degree from Union University. I have experience with children, adolescents and adults. I have serviced populations of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. I have worked with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar I, as well as co-occurring Substance Use disorders. I take on a person-centered approach and enjoy helping individuals navigate and cope with challenges in their life.
I strive to assist clients and their families process emotions and learn coping skills to deal with everyday stressors and decrease symptoms. With the necessary tools and skills at our disposal it is easier to identify triggers, notice warning signs, and find ways to better prepare for oncoming stressors and challenges. I utilize CBT, DBT, and trauma focused approaches. My office is a safe space and welcoming to all who wish to enter.

With over 10 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings, Kimberly’s areas of specialty includes anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions and stress management. Kimberly’s style is warm and down-to-earth, and she explores difficult topics with candor and humor. . Kimberly is also able to include her Christian perspective to clients who desire faith based treatments.
